Our Story

We didn’t meet in the most conventional way. During the pandemic, with a little persistence from the Matron of Honor, Monique—who insisted Tangie download Hinge and even created the profile herself—our story quietly began. After a few months on the app, Geron came across Tangie’s profile and instantly swiped right. When Tangie saw his profile, it was clear the feeling was mutual. After weeks of conversation, numbers were exchanged, leading to our first date at Texas Roadhouse in Bowie, Maryland. From that day forward, we’ve been inseparable. With the blessing of our parents and surrounded by both of our families during Tangie’s birthday celebration, Geron professed his unwavering love and asked her to “make it last forever.” Through joyful tears, Tangie said “yes” without hesitation. After five years of love, growth, and partnership, and a baby delay lol we are excited to exchange vows in the presence of our loved ones on Saturday, July 11th 2026, at 4:00 PM (EST).
